The list celebrates standout lawyers across the sporting landscape, from general counsel at major clubs and organisations to leading private practice specialists and barristers. In recognising Tom, Law UK noted that “a number of specialists at sports-focused firms also stand out, namely Tom Murray, founder of Three Points.”

Tom has built a strong reputation over the past decade across football, motorsport and boxing, in particular. He advises international athletes, teams, sponsors, event organisers and technology businesses on complex commercial and regulatory matters.

Tom has advised on some of the most significant sports-tech transactions in recent years, working at the intersection of sport, technology and commercial strategy to help clients navigate an increasingly dynamic landscape. This combination of traditional sports law expertise and a deep understanding of the technology transforming the sector enables Three Points to advise across the full range of challenges facing modern sports businesses. Tom is also the co-author of the Financial Regulation chapter in the leading textbook Football and the Law, which reflects his involvement in advising numerous clubs on compliance with the various profitability and sustainability regulations.

Commenting on the recognition, Tom said:

“I’m grateful to be included alongside so many people I respect and have worked with over the years across the sports industry. We founded Three Points to offer clients something different – a firm that truly understands the commercial realities of the industries that we operate in, as well as the technology that is reshaping them, and it is fantastic that our team keep on being recognised in this way. Sports law is a hugely collaborative space and I’ve been fortunate to work with brilliant clients and colleagues. It’s a privilege to support people and businesses operating at the highest level of sport, and to do so from a platform built specifically for the sector.”
